Today marks the final day of the Boeing Classic. The players begin teeing off around 11:30AM. Local favorite Fred Couples tees off at 11:35. Fred was having a great first day until the final 4 holes when things unraveled a bit…. He went 4 over on those final four holes. I was watching him on tv when the announcer said Fred’s shot on 15 ended up on the 16th fairway – oops! He shot 68 on Friday and 72 yesterday which puts him -4 for the tournament so far.
The leader is Bernard Langer at -15. He seems to be the one to beat on the senior tour lately. Maybe it’s the long putter? Nick Price is only one shot back followed by Tom Pernice Jr. at -10. This group tees off at 1:35PM. Just like past tournaments – the course is producing low scores.
The weather is a breezy (Snoqualmie normal) and the temperature is mild. According to komo news (thanks, Steve and Cheri) it’s supposed to be in the mid to upper 60’s with sun breaks this afternoon followed by increasing clouds. Looks like the rain will hold off until tomorrow. Should be a good golf day as well as a great battle for the 2010 Boeing Classic Title!
