The Boeing Classic, a PGA TOUR Champions event held each summer at The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge, returns August 4–10, 2025, to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
Since its debut in 2005, the tournament has been played exclusively in Snoqualmie, becoming a local tradition that blends world-class golf with charitable giving to support life-saving research and community causes.
“The Boeing Classic is more than a premier golf tournament; it’s a celebration of community and a shared commitment to a healthier future,” said Ketul J. Patel, CEO of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health and President of CommonSpirit Health’s Pacific Northwest Region. “Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is honored to be part of this annual event, bringing world-class golf to the Pacific Northwest for 20 years while advancing innovative medical research and care for our region.”

A Snoqualmie Tradition
With the dramatic backdrop of the Cascade Mountains, The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge has hosted the Boeing Classic from the beginning. Co-founded by the Seattle Seahawks and Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, and supported by Boeing as the title sponsor since its inception, the tournament has become a highlight of summer in the Snoqualmie Valley. It first launched as the Boeing Greater Seattle Classic and quickly earned praise from fans and players alike.
$10 Million Raised for Research
Beyond golf, the Boeing Classic has served as a major fundraiser for the Benaroya Research Institute (BRI) at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. Over the past two decades, the event has raised more than $10 million for local nonprofits, with BRI as the primary beneficiary.
These funds support groundbreaking research into immune system diseases, including:
- A landmark study on systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), offering new options for diagnosis and treatment.
- Featured research in Science Translational Medicine that begins to define a healthy immune system, supporting breakthroughs in diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, type 1 diabetes and multiple sclerosis.
- The growth of organoids—3D tissue models used to study conditions such as ulcerative colitis.
- A new study on integrating autoimmune disease screening into primary care.
Golf Legends Return
This year’s tournament features a $2.3 million purse and a competitive field that includes Stephen Ames, who has won the Boeing Classic the last two years—an unprecedented achievement. Ames returns in pursuit of a third straight win.
Other players expected to appear include Fred Couples, Ernie Els, Vijay Singh, Miguel Angel Jiménez, and Bernhard Langer.
“We are excited to welcome some of the best golfers in the world for the 20th anniversary of the Boeing Classic,” said Ryan Ingalls, Tournament Director. “I’m thankful for Boeing, the Seattle Seahawks and Virginia Mason Franciscan Health for bringing the community together for such a fun, beloved community event.”
Events On and Off the Course
The weeklong tournament offers more than championship play. Fans can explore Seahawks Village, a popular zone near the 18th hole featuring interactive activities, crafts, food trucks, and flyovers. From August 8–10, Seahawks Legends will be on hand for autograph sessions, and a 20-yard dash will celebrate the tournament’s 20th year.
The Boeing Classic Youth Clinic, open to participants aged 6–18, takes place on Tuesday, August 5, at 12:00 p.m. The free event features golf instruction from a PGA TOUR Champions professional and includes a prize pack. Hosted with First Tee of Seattle, the clinic requires no prior golf experience or equipment.
