These days, most jobs have some perks. But in the days leading up to the Super Bowl, in a state overcome by 12th Man and Seahawks spirit, one Snoqualmie couple might just be experiencing one of the best job perks – EVER.
For 12 years, Snoqualmie resident Eric Heuston has been the Human Resources Manager for the Seattle Seahawks. In a championship football season capped off by a trip to the Super Bowl, Eric’s job has him in New Jersey for the 2014 Super Bowl against Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos.
Eric’s wife, Andrea, tagged along on her husband’s “business trip,” which might be considered by many Seahawks fans to be the experience of a lifetime. And yes, they’re even staying at the same hotel as the team!
Andrea said New York is just crazy – filled with Seahawks fans and excitement everywhere.
She and Eric are enjoying every momentous Super Bowl weekend minute… including the fun moments like riding the hotel elevator with Russell Wilson, Doug Baldwin and Michael Bennett.
Eric, of course, is accustomed to seeing Seahawks players. Andrea? Not quite so much. She says she’s enjoying the elevator fun, describing Wilson as shorter than she thought (sorry Russell) and young; Bennett as funny and Baldwin as quiet.
Andrea and Eric and their two boys have lived in Snoqualmie since 2001. Andrea owns Artitudes Design, which she started in her Snoqualmie home and then moved to office space in Issaquah as the company grew. Artitudes was also just recently nominated for a Snoqualmie Valley Give Good Award.
Before the January 26th NFC Championship game, Eric was also featured in a ESPN video piece about the important tradition of Raising the 12th Man Flag at CenturyLink Field. You can see that HERE.
Super Bowl kickoff happens at 3:30PM, February 2nd on Q13 Fox.
One day and counting! Enjoy your trip of a lifetime Andrea and Eric – and keep sending in Super Bowl reports. Go Hawks!
