Austin Jenckes Headlines This Weekend’s Festival at Mount Si

North Bend’s annual Festival at Mount Si is back this weekend with fun for everyone, starting Friday, August 9th at 5PM and running through Sunday, August 11, 2014, at Si View Park, 400 SE Orchard Drive.

With free admission and a variety of activities spanning out across the entire weekend, including vendors from all over the state of Washington, booths offering some of the state’s best food and drink, and live music on two different stages, this weekend’s festival has fun for the whole family.

Along with many other great weekend performances, former finalist on The Voice, Austin Jenckes headlines the musical stage. He performs Saturday night, August 9th, at 8PM. Check out a list of other musical acts:

Saturday morning, beginning at 10:30AM, the Grand Parade will make its way down North Bend Way. Be prepared for street closures and limited parking in downtown North Bend.

For those looking for a little competition and a lot of fun, there will be Chili Cook Off, 4 on 4 Volleyball Tournament, Cherry Pie Eating Contest, Wife Carrying Competition and the Burstin’ with Blueberries Dessert Contest.

While registration for Sunday’s Chili Cook Off is already closed, you can still sign up to be a part of the Cherry Pie Eating Contest and Dessert Contest the day of the event. [Register by 1PM on Saturday at the Information Booth to take part in the Cherry Pie Eating Contest, sponsored by Twede’s Cafe, that begins at 2:15PM.]

To take part in the Burstin’ with Blueberries Dessert Contest, sponsored by Bybee-Nims Farms, you can register at 11:45AM Saturday at the 2nd Stage. Bring your favorite blueberry dessert item for the judges to sample and evaluate from 12:30-1:15PM.

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be awarded. 1st place will win $25 and 5 pounds of Bybee-Nim Farms blueberries, while 2nd and 3rd will get a trophy.

Enjoy a ride on the Snoqualmie Valley Railroad, take your kids to the Fun Zone, and watch fireworks with Mount Si as the  backdrop. There will also be art shows, a silent auction, and much more. See the full schedule attached to learn about all of this weekend’s events.
