The Lee Arts Foundation is launching a new outdoor art experience this summer with the debut of the Art in Nature Walk, a temporary installation along King County’s Snoqualmie Valley Trail in Carnation. The exhibit will run from July 2 to September 1, 2025, and will feature 50 works of art created by local artists.
To mark the beginning of the exhibit, the Carnation Chamber of Commerce is hosting an opening ceremony and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, July 2, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Nick Loutsis Park. The event will provide the public with an opportunity to meet some of the participating artists, enjoy refreshments, and preview the trail installation.

The exhibit is located along the Snoqualmie Valley Trail between Entwistle Street and the Tolt River. All artworks are displayed outdoors, mounted on cedar rounds and hung in the maple trees lining the trail. Admission is free, and the installation is open to the public throughout the summer.
According to the Lee Arts Foundation, most of the artwork on display is available for purchase through an online gallery, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the artists. The exhibit includes works by both emerging and established artists from the Snoqualmie Valley.
The trail’s location near roads and parking areas was chosen with accessibility in mind, ensuring that people with special needs can view and enjoy the art along the route. Community members and visitors are invited to stroll or walk the trail at their own pace to experience the temporary outdoor gallery.
Organizers hope the Art in Nature Walk will not only highlight the talent of local artists but also encourage residents and visitors alike to explore Carnation’s scenic trails and support nearby businesses. If successful, the event may return in future years as a recurring summer tradition for the Snoqualmie Valley.
