Another Snoqualmie Business Says Goodbye to Ridge Retail Area, MyCakes Relocating

MyCakes owner, Cynthia (Cynch) Golpe, started the specialty cake business out of her home’s kitchen in 2008. Then about three years ago, needing more space for the growing bakery, she opened her own shop on Center Blvd in the Snoqualmie Ridge retail area, and began selling cupcakes and other sweet treats, along with specialty and custom cakes, on a broader scope.

As the custom cake part of the business keeps growing, Cynch announced that it’s time to say goodbye to her Snoqualmie Ridge retail shop and focus on the wholesale part of MyCakes….  and that transition comes with a new address.

Monday, March 9th, is the last day the doors will be open at MyCakes on Snoqualmie Ridge. Then sometime in April, they will reopen on Railroad Ave in downtown Snoqualmie, where they will solely focus on the specialty, custom order wholesale part of the growing business.

The new location will have a lounge area so cake designers can meet with brides for wedding consultations and clients for other special-order cakes.  They will also have enough space for cake decorating classes, from beginners to masters, as well as birthday parties and classes for kids.

So unfortunately cake lovers, there won’t be anymore walk-in sales at the new MyCakes location to satisfy your sweet tooth.

But those cupcakes won’t completely disappear. MyCakes says they will transition their retail line of sweet treats to be available at Cherry de Pon, located at 7726 Center Blvd on Snoqualmie Ridge.

Specialty cake and dessert orders can be placed through MyCakes new website – www.mycakes.biz – and can be picked up at the the new historic Snoqualmie location. Delivery is also available with a minimum purchase.

MyCakes will be closing its Snoqualmie Ridge retail location as of March 9, 2015. They will reopen in April in downtown Snoqulamie.
