And Then There were Two | District Announces Final Elementary School Boundary Change Options

Growing student enrollment, state mandated full day kindergarten and lower K-3 class size AND a new school opening. These are all elementary school changes slated for the 2016-17 school year in the Snoqualmie Valley School District –  and why SVSD is currently in the process of adjusting the boundaries for ALL of its elementary schools.

It started with Five Boundary Options and now it’s down to TWO. [Read more about the committee and process for recommending a boundary revision option to the School Board HERE.]

Both options leave the current attendance boundaries of Cascade View ES intact, with shift of Snoqualmie students coming from SES, FCE and NBE to new elementary school #6.

For North Bend families, the big difference between the two options is which neighborhoods will move from Opstad Elementary to North Bend Elementary to fill the space vacated by Snoqualmie students.

Community members are asked to participate in an online survey to share their thoughts regarding the two boundary options HERE.  The survey closes on October 23rd at 12PM.
