An attempted burglary at Fall City Firearms has led to multiple charges against a Kirkland man and four juveniles.
Kristopher Holmes, 20, is charged as an adult in King County Superior Court with Attempting to Elude a Pursuing Police Vehicle, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, and Conspiracy to Commit Burglary in the Second Degree.
His arraignment is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on December 23 at the King County Courthouse. Holmes remains in custody on $35,000 bail set by the court.
According to charging documents, Holmes and the juveniles allegedly fled the scene of Fall City Firearms in stolen vehicles after being spotted by King County deputies. The suspects wore balaclavas and had staged two cars for a quick getaway.
Deputies pursued one vehicle, which reached speeds exceeding 100 mph before crashing. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage to the steering columns and ignitions, consistent with their stolen status.
Holmes, who has a pending robbery charge from 2023 and four prior warrants since that year, was arrested with the assistance of a K9 unit after fleeing the crash. Deputies identified him as the vehicle’s driver based on his admission during questioning.
The four juveniles, ages 12 to 17, face related charges through traditional prosecution. Their arraignments are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on December 11 at the Clark Child and Family Justice Center in Seattle. After a judge’s order, the juveniles remain in secure detention. State law prohibits the transfer of these charges to adult court.
Prosecutors allege the group arrived together at the scene and attempted to burglarize the business. The quick response of law enforcement likely prevented significant damage or theft.
