Summer is underway at the Northwest Railway Museum, with a full lineup of events, from wine-tasting excursions and art festivals to family train rides and special programs.
Whether you’re looking for an evening out, a family adventure, or a behind-the-scenes railway experience, there are plenty of opportunities to climb aboard in the weeks ahead.
The Northwest Railway Museum will also take part in the nation’s upcoming 250th anniversary celebration with Rails, Trails, & Tunes on July 1 at the Snoqualmie Depot.
Beginning at 11 a.m., the event will feature a special Story Time and a live performance by Eric Ode, along with historic crafts, toys, and games that explore America’s past through hands-on activities and family-friendly fun.
Day Out With Thomas: Let’s Rock, Let’s Roll Tour
July 10-12, 17-19, 24-26
All aboard for a rockin’ good time! Enjoy live entertainment, photo ops, and so much more fun! Take a real train ride with Thomas and create memories for the whole family. Tickets for July 24 not yet available.

Snoqualmie Valley Wine Train
Friday, June 19, departing at 5:00 pm. Check-in and first pour start at 4:30 pm
This excursion features local wineries, live music, food, scenic views, and a chance to learn about how the railway changed everything along the way.
Partnered with Mount Si Winery and William Grassie Wine Estates.
Valid ID required at Check-in. $99 per ticket (21+ only)

Railway History Campus Tours
Saturdays at 9:00 AM
Join an educator-led experience at the Railway History Campus. Tour the Train Shed Exhibit Hall, the Conservation and Restoration Workshop, and get a first-hand look at current restoration projects before boarding the train. The round-trip experience lasts approximately 3 hours.
Intended for ages 13+.
Closed toe shoes required.

Design in Motion With Cesar Vargara
Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at 1:00 pm
This event will include an exclusive walk-through of the Talgo Series VI Bistro Car, a new exhibit, presentations by Amtrak & railway visionaries, and a keynote presentation by designer Cesar Vergara himself, sharing the story behind the design of Talgo, followed by a Q&A segment.
The event also includes light bites & refreshments, a scenic train ride, unhosted dinner in downtown Snoqualmie, and a return ride back to the RHC.
