Help Shape Growth | North Bend, Snoqualmie Seek Members for Vital Commissions

COMMISSION OPENINGSHave thoughts and opinions about growth where you live? Ever thought about volunteering?

If so, the Cities of North Bend and Snoqualmie are seeking new [volunteer] commission members who want to help shape how the cities grow and change.

Open Snoqualmie Commissions

Currently there are two vacant positions on the City of Snoqualmie Economic Development Commission and one opening on the Planning Commission.

The Planning Commission consists of nine members, including two ex officio members, appointed by the Mayor to six-year terms. The role of the Planning Commission is to make recommendations to the Snoqualmie City Council, and on some issues, make decisions on land use issues, such as zoning. The principle guide for Snoqualmie land use decisions, though, is the city’s Comprehensive Plan of the City and Zoning Ordinance.

The Planning Commission meets on the first and third Monday of each month at 7PM at Snoqualmie City Hall, 38624 SE River Street.

The Economic Development Commission is primarily involved in evaluating current city issues, projects, and economic development priorities; advising the city administration and/or the City Council regarding business community interests; and fostering a positive economic environment.

This seven-member commission meets on the third Wednesday of each month from 8AM to 10AM at Snoqualmie City Hall (38624 SE River St). Applications are available on the City of Snoqualmie website, and must be submitted to the City Clerk. Applications will be accepted until filled.

Applications for both commissions are available on the City of Snoqualmie website, and must be submitted to the City Clerk. Applications will be accepted until filled.  For more information, please email City Clerk Jodi Warren at jwarren@ci.snoqualmie.wa.us or 425-888-1555 ext. 1118.
