The Return of the Wildcat Singers: A Choir Reunion to Remember

Imagine a weekend filled with the harmonious blend of voices, the laughter of old friends reuniting, and the unveiling of a beautiful new Performing Arts Center.

This June 21st and 22nd, the Mount Si High School (MSHS) community will come alive with the melodies and memories of the Wildcat Singers as alumni from all years gather for a remarkable reunion concert.

A Dream Realized

Mrs. Isaacs, one of the Choir Co-Directors, had always dreamed of a grand alumni concert. “I had dreamed of having this concert during the original planning of the new Performing Arts Center back in 2016,” she said. “The plan was to host the event when the new facility opened in March of 2021 as a way to honor all of the incredible musicians who were a part of building the Mount Si Choir Program into what it is today. This event was unable to happen at the time due to Covid restrictions. To see it finally come together this year is such a dream come true. We are very excited to reunite with so many amazing choral alumni for what will be a memorable concert.”

A Warm Welcome

The excitement begins on Friday, June 21st, with an optional catered dinner at 5:30 PM. Alumni will gather, share stories, and reconnect over a delicious meal. As the evening progresses, the first rehearsal will take place from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM. The PAC will resonate with the familiar sounds of old friends finding harmony again.

A Day of Music and Memories

Saturday, June 22nd, promises to be a day filled with music and camaraderie. Rehearsals will resume at noon, providing ample time to perfect the pieces for the evening’s performance.

In between, there will be a tour of the new Performing Arts Center, a state-of-the-art facility that stands as a testament to the school’s commitment to the arts. This new PAC boasts advanced acoustics, spacious practice rooms, and a stunning auditorium, making it the perfect venue for this momentous occasion.

After a well-deserved dinner break, the alumni choir will return to the stage for a final run-through. The anticipation builds as the clock ticks closer to 6:00 PM, when the auditorium doors will open to the public. Family, friends, and community members will take their seats, eagerly awaiting the performance that promises to be both nostalgic and inspiring.

The Grand Performance

As the lights dim and the audience settles, the alumni choir, alongside the esteemed MSHS Camerata Choir, will take the stage. The highlight of the evening will be the debut of a song commissioned exclusively for the school district by the renowned Dr. Rollo Dilworth.
