Yearly Warning: Not One but Two Low Flying Jets over the Snoqualmie Valley Signal Start & End of Boeing Classic

This year, the Boeing Classic features not one but two jet flyovers marking the start and end of the tournament.

To signal the start of the Boeing Classic PGA Champions Tournament, a Boeing jetliner will fly over the 18th green of The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge golf course on Friday, August 12, at approximately 11:15 a.m.

A second flyover will take place Sunday, August 14, at approximately 4 p.m. over the same site. Both flyovers are subject to weather and FAA restrictions.

Snoqualmie is the “Home of the Boeing Classic.” The PGA tournament begins on August 12, including a Military Appreciation Day held on Sunday, August 14, with free admission for active, retired, and reserve military and their dependents with ID.

  • Will anyone even be able to hear them over the incessant droning of single engine prop planes zigzagging over the ridge at 2,000 feet elevation all day long for no good reason?

    1. Those prop planes are a nuisance. It’s like every 30 min they zigzag all over the top of our neighborhood and we can’t get a single bit of peace now. I contacted the FAA and FSDO, but it might also be time to contact city officials. This is a big hit in quality of life (sigh, as I type this, there’s the prop plane passing over again…).
