With Construction Site Graded and Ready, Motion Water Sports Set To Build New Headquarters; Bringing 75 Jobs To Snoqualmie In Late October

Motion Water Sports has begun construction on its new Snoqualmie state-of-the-art 135,000 square foot headquarters located in the Snoqualmie Ridge Business Park.  Site preparation and grading work began in April, a time when residents may have noticed trees coming down adjacent to the site.  The City of Snoqualmie says those trees will be replaced on the buffer between the construction site and Snoqualmie Parkway.

Motion Water Sports will use 18,000 feet of the facility as its new office headquarters for the company’s two affiliated water sports brands, O’Brien and HO Sports.  The remaining 117,000 feet, will serve as warehouse space and the main distribution center for HO Sports, as well as Liquid Force and Connelly/CWB – two additional affiliated water sports brands.

HO, O’Brien, and the Liquid Force distribution centers are relocating from Redmond, WA.  The Connelly/CWB distribution center is relocating from Poulsbo. This means more than 75 jobs will be relocating to Snoqualmie.

John Archer, President of Motion Water Sports, explained how the company decided to call Snoqualmie home, “We started researching the purchase or lease of existing buildings in the greater Seattle area over a year ago in order to consolidate our operations.  When we came across the property at Snoqualmie Ridge, we realized what a perfect opportunity it was to build from the ground up.  Not only was the decision made from an economic point of view; we also fell in love with the city and its beautiful surroundings. We are looking forward to becoming part of the Snoqualmie business community.”

Motion Water Sports expects construction of its new headquarters to be completed in late October, 2012.
