Westbound SR 18 to close near Snoqualmie for overnight repairs twice this August

The Washington State Department of Transportation, (WSDOT) announced two upcoming overnight closures of westbound SR 18 near Snoqualmie – and over Tiger Mountain – in August.

WSDOT said, “Late night travelers on westbound SR 18 near Snoqualmie will need to use alternate routes and add extra travel time this week and next week while crews repair the pavement in several locations.”

Westbound SR 18 Closure:

  • Monday, August 10th, to the morning of Friday, August 14th – WB SR 18 between I-90 and Issaquah-Hobart Road will close nightly from 9PM to 4:30AM
  • Monday, August 17th, to the morning of Friday, August 21st – WB SR 18 between I-90 and Issaquah-Hobart Road will close nightly from 9PM to 4:30AM

WSDOT maintenance crews will grind and repave sections of the roadway during the closures, including the Raging River bridge, to preserve the highway.

Drivers should consider alternate routes like I-90 to SR 900 to I-405, or I-90 directly to I-405 during the two closures.
