Weekend Events Worth Mentioning: Thomas the Train, Outdoor Concert, North Bend Block Party, Gardening and More

It’s a pretty busy July weekend in the Snoqualmie Valley.  If you are in town and looking for something to do, it seems there are plenty of options.   Here’s a few worth mentioning for the weekend of July 13th – July 15th:

 

NORTHWEST RAILWAY MUSEUM

Day Out With Thomas Mystery on the Rails Tour – July 13-15 and July 20-22, 8AM-6PM

Thomas rolls into town for this fun, annual summer event.  Kids can ride replica of Thomas the Tank Engine to top of Snoqualmie Falls.  Lots of other fun activities as well.  Prepare for lots of traffic, crowds and limited parking in historic Snoqualmie.  Visit Northwest Railway Museum for more info and tickets.

 

CITY OF SNOQUALMIE

Household Hazardous Wastmobile – July 13-15, 10AM-5PM

SNOQUALMIE VALLEY YMCA

Family Fun Night at Camp Terry – Friday, July 13th, 6:30-9:30PM

Enjoy an evening of Family Camp with songs, climbing wall, hot dogs and S’mores! Meet at the Bellevue Y and take the bus or meet at Camp Terry in Preston.

 

NURSERY AT MOUNT SI

Friday Night Concert at the Nursery – Friday, July 13th, 7PM

The Nursery at Mt. Si is proud to host a concert with Carrie Elkin and Danny Schmidt. The doors will open at 7 pm. SNOQUAMIE VALLEY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Artist Reception at Chamber Office – Friday, July 13th, 4-6PM

Come meet and view the work of some exceptional artist/photographers at the Chamber’s art gallery on Friday July 13th, 4-6PM. This is a free event and the public is welcome. Light appetizers and beverages will be served.

 

 SNOQUALMIE VALLEY MASTER GARDENER’S ASSOCIATION

In the Garden with Christine Earl — Container Gardening – Nursery at Mount Si, 3PM

Do your container gardens just not look right but you don’t know why? Come to Christine Earl’s workshop at the Nursery at Mt Si (venue change this month) for inside tips on creating amazing containers.  All attendees will receive a 20% discount coupon for purchase that afternoon.  In partnership with the North Bend and Snoqualmie libraries, the Snoqualmie Valley Master Gardeners are offering free gardening workshops the 2nd Saturday of every month through October. NORTH BEND’S SI VIEW NEIGHBORHOOD

Annual Community-Wide Garage Sale – Saturday, July 14th, 8AM

North Bend’s Si View Neighborhood is hosting its annual community garage sale.  Lots of homes participating.  Stop by and then visit the North Bend Block Party in downtown North Bend.

 

NORTH BEND DOWNTOWN MERCHANTS AND FESTIVITIES COMMITTEE

2012 Downtown North Bend Block Party – Saturday, July 14th, 12 – 10PM

Join North Bend and celebrate its small town character and its businesses while preserving the past, celebrating the present and embracing the future.  The Downtown Block Party is located in the heart of North Bend on North Bend Way between Bendigo Blvd. and Ballarat.  Lots of vendors, food, music, entertainment and kid activities!
