Warm Temperatures AND gusty gap winds on tap for Snoqualmie Valley this weekend

Well, it’s official. The Snoqualmie Valley couldn’t get its first summer-like spring weekend without Mother Nature adding a special tweak.

According to Ryan Porter of Snoqualmie Weather, Friday, May 8th – Sunday, May 10th there will be a decent east-west pressure gradient, which is the recipe for gusty east gap winds in the Snoqualmie Valley and other Cascade Foothill communities.

Winds will gust [at times] between 25-35mph per Porter. In fact, one gust almost took out my large patio umbrella this morning – and its base is weighted with 150 pounds of sand.

Ryan said on Saturday and Sunday the wind gusts will likely be in upper range of predictions – so 35mph – before dying out on Monday ahead of the rain expected on Tuesday.

Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 70’s to low 80’s around the Valley. The east winds will help keep nighttime temperatures warm, too.

Happy Mother’s Day weekend, Snoqualmie Valley.
