Vandals Destroy Local Business Sign; Fundraiser Launched to Help Business Owner

According to some residents, Tuesday night, October 22, 2013, saw a lot of break-ins and vandalism in North Bend – and a small, local school was no exception. Vandals used a rock from a neighboring business to break the sign belonging to Mountain Valley Montessori.

North Bend resident, Michelle Reaves, says other areas that experienced break-ins, attempted break-ins or vandalism include the Wilderness Rim and Forester Woods neighborhoods, along with local businesses North Bend Sand and Gravel and Mountain Valley Montessori, located at 248 Main Street in downtown North Bend.  It is not known if the same perpetrators were responsible for all of the incidents.

Michelle wanted to help, so she stepped in and organized a fundraiser to fund the replacement of the Mountain Vally Montessori sign, which is owned by her good friend, Katy Moon. Replacing the large sign will cost approximately $400.

Michelle says anyone wishing to participate in the fundraiser can contact her at 425-292-9957 to place an order through the PartyLite Candle Fundraising Catalog or find more information on the Facebook Fundraiser Event page. The fundraiser will run through October 31, 2013.
