North Bend and Snoqualmie are hosting a series of community meet-and-greet events in the coming weeks, giving residents a chance to connect face-to-face with city leadership.
Meet Snoqualmie’s City Administrator Finalists
Tonight, Tuesday, May 12, Snoqualmie residents can meet the finalists for the city’s open City Administrator position. The community forum runs from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at City Hall Council Chambers, 38624 SE River Street.
The City Administrator serves as the chief administrative officer under the general direction and authority of the mayor. In this capacity, the administrator is responsible for the City’s day-to-day operations and the coordination of work among all departments and programs. Interviews concluded May 11, with finalist names to be announced.
This is an opportunity for residents to meet the candidates, ask questions, and share their input before a hiring decision is made.
Connect with North Bend Police Chief Hall
North Bend Police Chief Ed Hall invites residents to connect on Wednesday, May 13. Early risers can stop by Pressed On Main, 208 Main Avenue S., from 9 to 10 a.m. for Coffee (and Juice) Talk, or wrap up the day at Blackwater Brewing, 412 Main Avenue S., from 5 to 6 p.m. for Last Call with Chief Hall.
Both are casual drop-in conversations focused on local public safety and North Bend’s new police department. Officers will not be consuming alcohol at the Blackwater event. Wednesday’s gatherings are the first in an ongoing series, and residents who can’t make it can watch for future dates by signing up for the city’s free Notify Me subscription service at northbendwa.gov.

Snoqualmie Mayor James Mayhew will be holding a community chat at Sigillo Cellars on Thursday, May 21, from 4 to 5 p.m. Bring your questions, ideas, or whatever’s on your mind for a relaxed, open conversation with no set agenda.
