Turkey Trot, Valley Fest, Ski Swap All on Tap This Weekend

There a lot going on in the valley tomorrow.  Whether you want a little exercise, some new winter ski equipment that won’t break the bank or feel like doing some early Christmas shopping, tomorrow’s local events have you covered.

Turkey Trot

The annual fun run through the streets of Snoqualmie benefiting SVSD elementary schools is happening tomorrow, November 10th, at 9AM.  Expect street closures around Cascade View Elementary.  Race courses start and end at the CVES bell tower. The 5k is USATF certified and runs along residential streets and paved bike paths. The 1k does a lap around CVES. Walkers and strollers are welcome, but dogs are not.

Run Snoqualmie owner and race organizer, Sean Sundwall, says, “The Kids 1k has reached capacity of 300. This is a record number of kids which is a great thing. The problem is that only 300 bibs and medals were ordered. HOWEVER, we want all kids who want to run the 1k to have the opportunity to do so. So we will continue to register kids for the 1k with the understanding that late registrants (those signing up Thursday-Saturday) will likely NOT get medals. It’s not an ideal solution but allows kids who still want to run the opportunity to do so. Leftover medals, if any, will be available to late registrants after the awards ceremony on a first-come, first-served basis. It’s critical that parents set this expectation with their children”  For more information about the event and late registration visit Run Snoqualmie website.
