Tuesday Evening Power Outage Possibly Caused by House Fire in North Bend

Update 7:53 PM: PSE is now reporting 73 customers are still without power with an estimated restoration time of 1 AM.

Original Story:

According to a Facebook post by the Snoqualmie Police Department, at around 6 PM Tuesday evening, they were assisting in an electrical house fire in the vicinity of North Bend Way and Thrasher.

A power line came down on a home on Thrasher near the ranger station, causing an electrical fire. Traffic was blocked, and 5086 homes were briefly without power.

Power was restored to all but 724 customers approximately a half-hour later. The last update from Puget Sound Energy at 7:05 shows Equipment failure as the cause and an estimated restoration time of 1 AM.
