Transformer Bursts, leaves many Snoqualmie homes without Power

The City of Snoqualmie said a transformer burst, September 14, 2016 and as a result many neighborhood on Snoqualmie Ridge have lost power.

According to the PSE outage map at 12:30PM, about 1,300 customers were without power.  The Snoqualmie Fire Department reported that crews responded to a transformer fire near Center Blvd and Snoqualmie Parkway around 11:30AM and there was a widespread outage as a result.

The City of Snoqualmie said PSE was site working on the problem by 12PM. PSE estimates power will be restored between 1:30PM – 2PM, although by 12:30PM power was already back to some areas.

Traffic lights were not working at many intersections and the city asked that drivers treat them as 4-way stops until power returns.
