Traffic: Nightly SR18 closures this week; upcoming Orchard Drive and Boalch Ave closures

There are a few upcoming road closures in the Snoqualmie Valley:

Westbound SR 18 between I-90 and Issaquah-Hobart Road

Drivers may need to take an alternate route if they’re headed west from Snoqualmie during late-night hours this week.

Westbound SR 18 between I-90 and Issaquah-Hobart Road will close nightly from Sunday, Sept. 9th, to the morning of Thursday, Sept. 13th. Drivers should plan for travel delays during this time.

During the closure, Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews will repair damaged guardrail, cut back brush to open up sight lines for driver visibility and clean out ditches to prepare for the rainy season.

Orchard Drive Closure

Starting Tuesday, September 18th to Wednesday, September 19th, 2018 a portion of SE Orchard Drive will be closed for utility construction. The SE Orchard Drive closure area is located south of the intersection of SE Orchard Drive and North Bend Way and just north of the east entrance to the Mt Si Apartments.

Access to the Mt Si Apartments will remain open. The closures will occur from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Detour signage will be provided by the contractor.

One-Lane Boalch Avenue Closure

Puget Sound Energy is planning a one-lane road closure on Bendigo Blvd (State Route 202) at the intersection of Boalch Ave to replace a spool on an overhead power line. Weather permitting, the project is planned for October 3rd starting at 9AM and is anticipated to take approximately four hours.
