Traffic Alert: SE North Bend Way & 436th AVE SE Final Road Grinding, Paving Scheduled the Week of May 2nd

Beginning the week of May 2nd, road grinding is expected to commence along Southeast North Bend Way, from just west of the Snoqualmie Valley Trail to the newly constructed roundabout at Southeast North Bend Way and 436th Avenue Southeast.

This developer-funded roundabout will be constructed to mitigate potential future traffic impacts. No taxpayer dollars are being spent on this traffic improvement project.

Once road grinding is completed, Southeast North Bend Way and the new roundabout are scheduled to receive their final lift of asphalt, which will, in turn, create the permanent driving surface. This work is weather dependent.

The developer will provide traffic control during this work. Drivers should expect lane closures, alternating traffic, and short delays.

The city of North Bend and Unincorporated King County residents living east of 436th Avenue Southeast/Exit 32 are encouraged to utilize I-90 and 468th Avenue Southeast/Exit 34 as an alternate route to reduce construction-related delays.

The city apologizes for any inconveniences caused by this traffic improvement project and thanks residents for their patience and understanding.

Questions about the North Bend Way/436th Roundabout Project may be sent to Brian Tucker at btucker@northbendwa.gov.
