Traffic Alert: Roadwork Near Downtown North Bend Expected to Cause Delays

The City of North Bend is set to begin re-paving work on a second section of North Bend Way that is showing signs of distress. In June, North Bend Way between Torguson Park and 436th was given a complete facelift – and drivers given a smoother ride.

Now it’s time to re-pave the section between Bendigo Blvd (SR 202) and the South Fork Bridge. The project will overlay the whole width of the roadway to preserve the underlying structure and make the road smoother.

The City of North Bend says work on this project will begin toward the end of next week, August 4th – August 8th, with the possibility of continuing into the following week.

For residents heading into North Bend next week, traffic delays and limited parking are expected near this stretch of roadway on the approach to the downtown core from the Snoqualmie area.

Signage will be out alerting drivers of the delays and where parking is prohibited during the re-paving project.

According to the City of North Bend, funding for the project comes from the city’s General Fund and a grant awarded by the Washington State Department of Transportation.
