Three Snoqualmie authors are shining the light on their hometown. Their books are receiving great praise so we wanted to give you a heads up and some brief info on these local authors’ latest novels.
Tess Thompson, Genevieve Ruth and Lynda Lahmam have all pursued their passion, writing, and become published authors. Way to go ladies – and keep up the good work!

Catchlight: Perspective Through an Optimistic Lens (and true story about a heart transplant) – Genevieve Ruth, Released November, 2012
Catchlight chronicles the real life transplant journey of one local family. Author, Genevieve Ruth’s husband was facing a heart transplant after a staph infection ravaged his own. Journey with the family and learn to find a positive outlook as they face financial crisis, huge medical bills and life with a toddler in the house.
The book has a self-help aspect to it and also a charitable aspect, giving back to the non-profit agencies who help advocate organ donation

Two-Up, Navigating a Relationship 1,000 Miles at a Time – Lynda Lahman, Released, March 2012
When Lynda asked Terry to take her for a ride on his motorcycle on their third date, she knew his passion was long distance riding. What she didn’t know was that within a few short months they would be navigating the complexities of falling in love, blending families and building a life together. Becoming partners both on and off the bike, they found themselves charting a course through intense heat, bitter cold, exhaustion, disappointment, and exhilaration in the world of competitive riding, culminating in their entry into “The World’s Toughest Motorcycle Competition.”

I would like to add that Snoqualmie author (and mother of two CVES children), Toddie Downs, had her first novel, “Summer Melody”, published on October 12, 2012. The book is available on Amazon and Kindle. So proud of Toddie and her amazing book!
