Thomas the Train Pulling into TownThis Weekend; Prepare for Crowds, Traffic and Limited Parking in Historic Snoqualmie

The annual Thomas the Train Event pulls into Snoqualmie this Friday, July 13th, for the first of his two-weekend stint.  This year’s Day Out with Thomas Mystery on the Rails Tour is taking Thomas to more than 45 stops across the country, Snoquamie’s Northwest Railway Museum included.

Locals should prepare for crowds, traffic and limited parking in historic Snoqualmie.  There will be additional FREE parking available at Snoqualmie Middle School and a shuttle connecting the parking lot to the event site at the Northwest Railway Museum/Snoqualmie Depot at 38625 SE King Street.

Thomas the Train spotted in North Bend last week on his way to Snoqualmie for the summer “Day Out With Thomas” tradition.

Day Out with Thomas features a 25-minute train ride on a 15-ton replica of Thomas the Tank Engine, star of the popular Thomas & Friends™ series, to the top of Snoqualmie Falls.  At the fun family event kids can meet Sir Topham Hat, enjoy live music, operate model trains and enjoy food, games, storytelling, a puppet show, motor car rides and a clown.

The event runs this weekend, July 13th-15th and next weekend, July 20th-22nd.  Grounds are open from 8AM-6PM.  The first ride each day is at 9AM and the last ride pulls out at 4:30PM.  This is a rain or shine event, but Snoqualmie weather is looking perfect this weekend – sunny and low to mid 80’s.

For more information or to purchase tickets visit the Northwest Railway Museum website.  Welcome back to town Thomas!
