The laughs are back! North Bend prepares for “Best Night of Comedy Ever”

Sixteen stand-up comics will be delivering their best material Saturday night when the 41st Annual Seattle International Comedy Competition arrives at the North Bend Theatre.

Comics from the US, UK, Canada, and Japan will be competing for cash prizes and the right to call themselves the “2021 SICC Champion.”

Hosted by the North Bend Theatre, Saturday’s competition will be the first round of the contest. Beth Burrows, the owner of the North Bend Theatre, is thrilled to host the event. “The first round of the competition is always a blast. The comedians are fresh and fully charged. You can expect a lot of energy. They will come out swinging!”

The comics include a lifelong surfer, a mother dealing with teenagers, a grandmother glad to be done with teenagers, and that guy from Detroit. A good time is guaranteed!

The Seattle International Comedy Competition is America’s biggest touring comedy festival.  Spanning the entire month of November, 32 comedians perform their way across Puget Sound, vying for $15,000 in cash prizes.  The final night of the competition will be hosted at Laugh’s Comedy Club in Seattle’s University District and will feature the top five comedians.

A reminder that the October 25th mandate for vaccine proof or negative Covid test results will be checked before entry. As a hometown theatre recovering from the effects of the pandemic, we really appreciate your kindness.
