The Heat Returns to the Snoqualmie Valley After a Brief Respite

[Guest Post by North Bend resident Mark Davis]

The weather has been great the last few days, hasn’t it? Mild temps with off and on showers. At the time of writing this, today, Sunday, I’ve recorded .43” of rain.

We haven’t recorded anything greater since last June 14th, which was 1.04” of rain. Well, all things must come to an end at some point, and we have some changes coming.

Monday and Tuesday, we’ll be back In the low 80’s for the highs and low to mid 50’s for the lows. Then the fun, not, begins.

Start Wednesday, and going through Saturday, we have an Excessive Heat Watch in effect.

Wednesday we’ll have a high in the low 90’s with a low in the mid-’60s. Thursday, we’ll notch it up a bit to the mid to upper 90’s with a low around the mid 60’s.  Friday, we could reach 100°, but that is still a few days out; we’ll see if that really could happen.

The low for Friday will be in the upper 60’s. Saturday, the high temps should be calming back down to the mid-’90s with a low in the mid-’60s.

Here’s the model chart of the temps coming up.

This heatwave won’t be anything like what we went through in late June. It’ll be a few days; then we’ll be back to our normal summertime temps.

As for more rain, the models are showing another chance on the 17th, but not too much at this point.

I sure can’t wait for fall.
