The City of Duvall Issues a Call to Visual Artists to Create a Main Street Art Wall

In 2009 the City of Duvall solicited a call for artists to create an art mural on the concrete wall located at the intersection of Main Street and the Woodinville-Duvall Road.

After receiving numerous outstanding submittals, a bold and vibrantly painted mural by a local artist was selected for the work. The mural was completed in the summer of 2009 and became a focal point and well-loved feature for many highway travelers and the community.

Due to the aging of the mural since its completion, it is time for the City of Duvall to advertise a new call for artists.

Call to Visual Artists

The Duvall Cultural Commission (DCC) is calling for submissions from local artists for a mural along the concrete wall located at the SE corner of the Woodinville-Duvall and Main Street intersection. The mural is to provide a unique, welcoming entry to the city and compliment the other street art along Main Street.

The DCC encourages the mural to include local themes, such as the Snoqualmie River, Native American & Pioneer heritage, farming, logging, steamboats, flora & fauna, and other elements. Artists applying for this mural can create up to 3 sample concept images for selection. Awarded artist’s images will become the property of the City of Duvall.
