“Take a Seat for Kids Project” Highlights Local Artists in Support of Encompass Programs for Children and Families

Seven local artists have donated their time and talents to creating custom Adirondack chairs for the sixth annual Encompass Take a Seat for Kids Project.

In a first for this event, Encompass will host a Garden Party on Sunday, June 12th, from 11 am – 1 pm at the Child Development Center, 9050 384TH Ave SE in Snoqualmie, where prospective buyers can preview the chairs in person.

The online auction will kick off the next day, June 13th and run through June 21st as a fundraiser for Encompass programs.

 This year’s artists—Pepper AllphinRicardo EspinozaMary Grigg-ColterKatie KanzlerHailey CarnesGrace Rigoni & Charlie Jansen and Nancy Wray—have transformed plain wooden chairs, benches and rockers into functional art pieces.

The design of several sets of chairs this year is inspired by nature, making them perfect for a porch or backyard.
