A serious collision at the intersection of Snoqualmie Parkway and Fairway Ave sent one person to the hospital Saturday afternoon, March 30, 2019.

The City of Snoqualmie said via Twitter that multiple emergence vehicles responded to the scene.

Lt. Gall said firefighters needed cut the door out of vehicle to free the injured man, but he was alert and able to talk to them. Gall said the man was in a lot of pain and was put into a neck collar and transported to Overlake Hospital. He was the only person who was taken to the hospital.

Traffic was backed up while crews responded to the accident. By 4:50PM Snoqualmie PIO Joan Pleigo said traffic had improved, but officers were still investigating the accident.

I arrived on the seen seconds after it happened, and minutes before the police arrived. The eye witnesses I spoke to as I looked to see if there was anything I could do (I’m a CERT), all gave a different description of events. The Jeep Wrangler was coming uphill on Snoqualmie parkway, and the black SUV was making a left turn from Snoqualmie Parkway onto Fairway and t-boned the Jeep that way. Given how the vehicles ended up with the Jeep sideways on the sidewalk and the SUV parked on Fairway, the quoted description above doesn’t fit. I hope the investigation gets it all straight. AND I hope the man in the Jeep fully recovers from his injuries.

  • The light at that intersection stopped working correctly about a week ago. It doesn’t properly change from red to green for traffic waiting to turn left from fairway onto snoq pkwy for many minutes. Sat there for a solid 3 minutes this morning with no traffic on snoq pkwy then gave up and just turned on the red.
