Swindmaggeddon- How Much Longer?

I think the Snow is 3 and 15 on its own 10-yard line with the clock running out. Get that sledding and snow fort built before it’s too late! A transition to a messy situation looks near.

Most models show a changeover to rain by ~3 pm and we’re able to pick this up a little on the radar now. The Euro model still wants to keep it snow all night; however, it also had it snowing all of last Wednesday-Thursday. So we’re taking that forecast with a grain of salt:)

With cold air still trapped at the surface, this also does have the potential to bring freezing rain (rain that refreezes on contact with the ground) overnight.

As for the gap winds? Oh no, they aren’t letting up anytime soon and look actually to strengthen somewhat (gusts 25-35+ mph) this evening. The good news is winds should finally die out and flow to shift more southerly by dawn Monday.

A return to periods of cold rain in the lowlands and foothills is likely for Monday and the foreseeable future. Gap winds may return Thursday, but at this point don’t look like anything particularly fierce.
