Surprise snow causes 2-hour delay for Snoqualmie Valley Schools, March 12th

The Snoqualmie Valley School District is dealing with more snow – this time hitting in early Tuesday morning. SVSD schools will be on a 2-hour delay Tuesday, March 12, 2019 with limited transportation (snow routes) in areas A & B in North Bend and Snoqualmie.

The early morning ‘surprise’ snow has created difficult driving conditions. The District said snow routes will only be used for the morning pick ups.

Superintendent Rob Manahan tweeted that the snow caught the district off guard and was heavy in North Bend, with the Ridge also picking up snow. He admitted the decision to delay was made late, but that the roads were bad, especially in North Bend.

The snow is expected to melt as the morning progresses with highs temps predicted to reach the low 40’s.
