Strong Mount Si Boys Soccer team earns KingCo 4A championship, hosts District playoff game May 7th

As sportswriter Rhett Workman said in early March, expectations were high for the Mount Si Boys Soccer program this season – and it appears Darren Brown’s team did not disappoint.

Last week the team became KingCo 4A Champs, finishing the season with a nearly perfect record of 13-1-0 – and scoring and impressive 40 goals while only allowing 17.

Several team members – and Coach Brown – received KingCo top honors as well, including Offensive MVP, Drew Harris; Defensive MVP – Reed Paradissis; Coach of the Year – Darren Brown

First Team All-League players included Drew Harris, Reed Paradissis, Mateo DiDomenico, Jared Davies, Sullivan Smith. Second Team All-League players included Colby Ramsey, Paul Talens and Honorable Mentions were
Jake Jimenez, Justin Hunter, Will Niemela, Henry Clark.

Now it’s onto the playoffs!

This week Mount Si (#1 KingCo seed) plays in the Wes-King District Tournament – facing off against Mariner High School (#2 WesCo seed) at home (Wildcat Stadium) on May 7th at 7PM. Mount Si also hosts another game on Thursday, May 9th at 7PM.

Good Luck and Go Cats!
