The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction and the State Board of Education awarded their 2015 Washington Achievement Award this week and four Snoqualmie Valley schools made the list.
The Washington Achievement Award is based on the Washington Achievement Index. Schools must meet the 95% participation rate on state tests to be eligible – and are recognized in seven categories:
- Overall Excellence
- High Progress
- English Language Arts Growth
- Math Growth
- Extended Graduation Rate (awarded to high and comprehensive schools only)
- English Language Acquisition
- Achievement Gap
These SVSD schools were recognized for the following Washington Achievement Awards:
- Fall City Elementary School—English Language Arts Growth
- Opstad Elementary School—High Progress
- Snoqualmie Elementary School—High Progress
- Twin Falls Middle School—High Progress

We’re very proud of the schools recognized for their performance on the index. Each school shows sustained growth or excellence, or both.
