Snoqualmie's Newest Restaurant Opens Tonight!

One more of Snoqualmie’s new businesses, Aahaar Indian Eatery, will open its doors to the public tonight at 6PM.  And deal alert!  From tonight, October 18th through Sunday, October 21st, you get 20% off your entire bill as part of the grand opening special.

Aahaar means FOOD in Sanskrit.  In many homes, food and family go hand-in-hand.  The same is true at Aahaar Eatery.  When I popped my head in today (thinking they were open for business) I got a chance to meet two generations of the family run business, all of whom were kind and friendly.  I was shown the kitchen and the re-designed interior. They did not have to do this, as I know how busy they were getting ready for tonight’s opening,  but they did.

The owners relocated to Snoqualmie from California just last month and ever since have been readying the restaurant (former iBurger spot) for the Snoqualmie Valley.  For most people, a new house is chaotic enough.  Throw a new business into the mix, and I don’t know how they’re doing it.

But they are.  And they’re a restaurant with a cause too.  Aahaar Indian Eatery supports two hunger relief organizations:  Kids Against Hunger and Food Relief Organization of India.  They will donate $1 from each non-alcoholic beverage and dessert sale to these two organizations.

To find out more about Aahaar Indian Eatery, including the menu, visit their website or Facebook page.  They will be open for lunch and dinner after tonight’s grand opening.

Welcome to the neighborhood Aahaar!

  • They have some extreme service issues, but once the food arrived (1 1/2 hours later—I’m not kidding). The food tasted great! I arrived at 6:30, ordered a tea and appetizer at 6:45. I waited one full hour for my tea and appetizer to arrive at 7:55. Yes- me and water sitting for over 1 hour. My dinner arrived 1 1/2 hours after ordering at 8:20. They said they got slammed with to-go orders. Evidently those took priority over people sitting at tables.

Once service issues are worked out- it will be great– food is outstanding.

  • They have some service issues with long wait times on the table but the food was great. We had Dosas and they were awesome. Would definitely go back again.

  • Went there for dinner tonight. The Malabar Mutton Curry + Parotta was awesome. Authentic South Indian taste. The Madras Coffee was great too. Will definitely go back again…

  • I am a vegetarian I just had a Mysore Masala Dosai, Avial, Channa Masala with Malabar Parotta. It was delicious with some mouth watering aroma. I also heard other table was very happy with their non-veg Chicken Tikka Masala, Coconut chicken curry & Basmati Rice.. I got a chance to speak to Chef AJ – who is passionate about his job, and wants to keep the quality of food as authentic as possible. I was very much impressed & surely going back soon.
