Snoqualmie Valley Weather: Will we have a White Christmas?

Are you dreaming of a white Christmas? Even though we’ll get some snow this week, it may not happen.

This upcoming snow potential has been very difficult to forecast. The models kept changing back and forth at almost every update. As of Sunday morning, both top models finally agreed after days of not.

From noon on Sunday, the temps will start to drop throughout the day. For the rest of the week, our highs will have difficulty reaching the freezing point, with lows in the lower 20s. Starting on the 24th, our highs will back into the lower to mid-40s.

And now for the fun stuff… SNOW potential.

Sunday night and throughout Monday, we could get 4 to 6 inches. If you can, I’d plan to stay home Monday night and Tuesday.

Accumulated snowfall totals from Sunday night through Wednesday could total 12 to 16 inches, with most of that falling Monday night into Tuesday. There are currently no Advisories or Warning from the NWS, but I expect that to change today into Monday.

Here are 2 model maps showing the accumulated snowfall totals going into Wednesday.

Those snow totals can change drastically in either direction depending on how the moisture and cold air are set up. So just be prepared.
