Snoqualmie Valley students back to School: important safety reminders

Students in the Snoqualmie Valley School returned to the classroom on Wednesday, August 29th, which means there will be a lot more cars on local roads, school buses on the streets and pedestrians on the sidewalks.

All SVSD elementary schools start school, Monday – Thursday, at 9:05AM and release at 3:26PM. Middle schools and the high school start between 7:40AM and 9AM. They and release between 2:15PM and 2:34PM.  On Fridays all schools release two hours early.  Full SVSD bell schedule can be found below.

The Snoqualmie Fire and Police Departments are reminding Valley drivers to respect posted school speed limits and pay close attention to pedestrians, school buses and school zones.

SPD said officers will be out making sure the kids are safe.

If you need a little refresher on when to stop for school buses, SFD provided the below handy graphic. Note that scenario 4 applies to Snoqualmie Parkway.
