Snoqualmie Valley residents asked to weigh in on local transportation options

Given a choice, would you prioritize faster transportation service or more frequent service? Service that runs later or more affordable fares? A new online survey produced by the Snoqualmie Valley Transportation Coalition (SVTC) is asking local residents to select their top three options from a list of more than a dozen transportation priorities.

The SVTC is currently working with transportation agencies, cities, community-based organizations and riders to develop a five-year transportation plan for the area – including the cities of North Bend, Snoqualmie, Fall City/Preston, Carnation, Duvall, Monroe and the surrounding unincorporated region. The survey is intended to help the coalition better understand the travel needs of local residents and will help determine which transportation improvements are most important.

The short survey, which takes about five minutes, is free and anonymous. Survey respondents also can enter a drawing for a chance to win a $50 grocery gift card.

  • Remember, folks, if Sound Transit starts serving the Snoqualmie Valley, we’ll get included in the Sound Transit taxing zone. And those taxes are significant. Beware of what we ask for.
