The Snoqualmie Valley Indoor Playground (SVIP) begins its 19th year serving families of the Snoqualmie Valley on September 14, 2015
The playground, located at Si View Community Center is open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:30AM to 11:20AM when the Snoqualmie Valley School District is in session.
The volunteer-run program relies on a $1 donation per child, as well as grants and fundraising to ensure its continued operation.
It’s a fresh start for the Indoor Playground as Si View Community Center received a facelift over the past year and the Indoor Playground welcomes a new set of directors.
“If we can maintain what our predecessors have done for the Valley with this amazing community service, I will be thrilled,” said SVIP President Marni Donnelly. She added, “If we can grow it and get the word out, well, then parents of the Valley win.”
After nearly a full year of displacement as the Si View gym was renovated, SVIP volunteers hope to get the word out to former participants that the playground is back – fully operational – and welcomes new parents to give it a try, too.
Past and present Board of Directors are grateful to Sensei Mark Lynum at Higher Learning Martial Arts for housing local parents and kids and keeping the fun going while Si View was under renovation.
