Snoqualmie Valley Hospital opens drive-thru COVID-19 test site

Snoqualmie Valley Hospital re-opened its COVID-19 testing site on Tuesday, April 7th. The testing facility is drive-thru and open weekdays from 10AM to 2PM.

Due to a shortage in testing supplies, Snoqualmie Valley Hospital had to close its walk-in test center on March 17th.

According to a news release, testing is recommended only for those with current symptoms or a recent direct and unprotected exposure to a known COVID-19 positive case.

Registration forms will be delivered to waiting cars closest to the entry tent. Forms will also soon be posted on the SVH website for optional download and completion prior to arrival.

Snoqualmie Valley Hospital said, “Completed forms’ content will be captured in a photo through a raised car door window along with insurance and ID cards to limit staff exposure.  Participants will be coached through the collection of their own nasal sample. “

About eight vehicles were lined up when the testing center opened Tuesday morning.

Results will be available for review on the Snoqualmie Valley Hospital online portal 3-7 business days after collection. Accounts will be created during the registration process.

NOTE:  by order of King County Health Officer anyone who undergoes COVID testing must quarantine at least until test results are known and longer if results detect virus.

Snoqualmie Valley Hospital is located near the I-90/SR 18 interchange at 9801 Frontier Avenue SE, Snoqualmie, WA 98065.
