Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank Offers Summer Kids’ Programs; Kid-Friendly Food Drive Launches June 29th

SV Food Bank logoThe Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank, located at 122 E 3rd. Street in North Bend is offering several programs for kids this summer, including a summer kids meal program (for students currently enrolled in SVSD’s free and reduced lunch program), a program coordinated with the YMCA designed to teach kids about healthy food and activities, a summer reading program with the King County Library System and a special back to school backpack and shoes program. [See program details below.]
The Food Bank is also encouraging Snoqualmie Valley youth to support their peers in need by holding kid-friendly food drives this summer.
The first such ‘kid-friendly’ food drive of the summer is in partnership with the Snoqualmie Valley Rotary’s 22nd annual President’s Cup Golf Tournament, which happens Monday, June 29, 2015 and benefits the Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank.
Donations from the drive will be used to supplement the Food Bank’s Summer Kids Meal Program.  The community is asked to fill a couple of bags with kid-friendly food items (listed below) and drop them at the Snoqualmie Valley YMCA on June 29th from 9AM – 12PM.
