Snoqualmie Valley August Lightning Captured in Amazing Pictures and Video

It was a loud, thunderous night over the Snoqualmie Valley on late Friday, August 9, 2013, and early Saturday, August 10, 2013.  Powerful storm cells rolled through, touching off bright lightning storms in the Valley skies.

Local North Bend photographer, Mary Miller, and Snoqualmie resident, Jay Rabena, captured two amazing photos of the August lightning.  Mary’s has Mount Si lit up by the bolts.  Jay’s features an “Anvil Crawler” over the Eagle Point neighborhood of Snoqualmie Ridge, which appears to crawl out of a cloud during the severe thunderstorm.

Snoqualmie resident, Rob Nelson, captured an incredible amount of the late night lightning storm in the skies over his Ridge home and created a must see YouTube video set to music.  View Rob’s video HERE.

Another resident, Annie McCall, captured some (amateur) lightning video from Snoqualmie Community Park looking east toward Mount Si.  See the YouTube video here.
