Snoqualmie School Board Holds Special Meeting Tomorrow – Voting On New Teacher Contract

The Snoqualmie School Board will hold a special meeting tomorrow morning, August 25th, to vote on a new 2-year contract for its teachers. The meeting is scheduled from 7:15AM- 8:15AM in the Mt. Si High School Commons.

After a marathon 20+ hour bargaining session on August 22nd, the district reached a tentative agreement with its teacher’s union, SVEA.  Teachers voted to ratify the new contract at SVEA’s General Membership Meeting last night, August 23rd.

The current teacher’s contract expires August 31st.  School Board approval of the new contract is the final step to ensure school starts on August 30th.
