Snoqualmie Ridge Gears Up for Annual 4th of July Celebration, Biggest Event of the Year

I’ve lived on Snoqualmie Ridge for 11 years now and by far the biggest event the ROA (resident owners association) sponsors is its annual Independence Day event.  Snoqualmie Community Park is always packed for the kid-friendly festivities, regardless of the weather.  This year the weather guys are forecasting sunny and 70 degrees.

For those new to the area or for those needing a Snoqualmie Ridge 4th of July refresher, the event kicks off with a short 4th of July parade.  This year the line up begins at Cascade View Elementary.  Kids are encouraged to decorate their bikes and scooters and pull out all their red, white and blue clothes.  It’s suggested to arrive around 10:15AM if your kids are participating.  This year Mayor Larson will lead the parade from Cascade View to the Community Park.

Once at the park, the festivities kick into full gear.  There’s everything a kids could want: tons of inflatables (some for smaller and some for bigger kids), a petting zoo, ponies, a circus train, a putting green, teen alley, face painting, balloonists, crafts, child ID’s, live music and tons of food.

Rain or shine, this fun event happens every year at Snoqualmie Community Park, 35016 SE Ridge Street from 11AM-2PM. See you tomorrow.  This is always a great neighborhood event!

The ROA is also warning that the City of Snoqualmie will be enforcing fireworks laws to make this a safer 4th of July for everyone.  And I just heard my first M-80 in the distance!
