Snoqualmie Railroad Days goes virtual for 2020

The Northwest Railway Museum announced this week that despite the cancellation of the live Snoqualmie Railroad Days Festival, the long-standing community tradition will be celebrated virtually throughout the week of August 10, 2020.

The community is invited to join the 2020 virtual Railroad Days fun in a variety of ways:

  • Let your creativity take to the rails as you decorate and design a 3D model paper train. Model paper train templates will be available via the Railroad Days and Northwest Railway Museum’s Facebook pages beginning on August 6th. Once finished with the train, send a photo of it (by August 13) to: emily@trainmuseum.org. Then beginning on Railroad Days weekend, “stop by” the Railroad Days and Museum’s social media pages to check out design examples.
  • Beginning on Monday, August 10th and continuing on Wednesday, August 12th and Friday, August 14th tune into the Railroad Days Facebook page at 11:45AM for a three part photo series “Railroad Days Thru’ The Decades.”
  • For those who love the traditional Railroad Days community parade, check out the Railroad Days Facebook page starting at 1:15PM on Saturday, August 15th for a special photo montage featuring many past parade favorites.

The Railway Museum says additional activities are planned and to watch for updates on social media and on the Railroad Days website.
