Snoqualmie Police Host Fun Event, Night Out at the Police Department – August 6th

Have you noticed the big sign on the corner in front of the Snoqualmie Police Department?  It’s there for a good reason.

It’s been 30 years since the national “Night out Against Crime” campaign launched.  In honor of that big NightOutSPDanniversary, the Snoqualmie Police Department is inviting the public their station, located at 34825 SE Douglas Street on Tuesday, August 6, 2013, from 5-9PM, for a special community event.

National Night Out at the Snoqualmie Police Department has a little bit of everything for kids and adults.

You can tour the station (it’s pretty cool), including the gun range and actual jail; meet your local officers; see exhibits from the Washington State Patrol Bomb Squad and  K-9 Units, Major Crime Scene Van and a SWAT Peacekeeper; as well as recycle bicycles and bicycle parts at the CleanScapes recycle bin.

The event also features bouncy houses, party hoppers, face painting, Sno Cones, and prizes.  Oh, and Snoqualmie Police officers will also be cooking – barbecuing up hot dogs to serve alongside chips and drinks.

The weather is looking again to be just about perfect, so stop by the Snoqualmie Police Department and meet your local police force.  It should be a fun community event.
