ORIGINAL STORY:

Due to icy road conditions and dozens of accidents blocking the roadway, early Friday morning, January 4th, WSDOT closed I-90 [in both directions] over Snoqualmie Pass – from North Bend (milepost 34) to Ellensburg (milepost 106).

According to Washington State Patrol, this included a one- fatality, serious accident involving three semis and one car on eastbound I-90 near milepost 61. There were also six accidents on westbound I-90 near milepost 62 involving three semis and three cars.
