I-90 over Snoqualmie Pass to Remain Closed Overnight (Updated)

Update 4:44 PM:

 I-90 is closed in both directions. Eastbound from North Bend milepost 34 and westbound from Ellensburg, milepost 106 due to heavy snowfall and high avalanche danger. The pass will remain closed overnight and will be reassessed at 8 AM tomorrow morning. The reopening time has not been determined.

Update 4:01 PM:

I-90 is now closed in both directions from MP 35 near North Bend to 106 near Ellensburg due to multiple collisions and avalanche danger. No ETA for reopening at this time.

Update 3:06 PM: According to the Snoqualmie Pass Twitter account, crews are still working to remove a number of collisions on I-90 EB, which is still closed at MP 34 near North Bend. Will have an update on progress at 5 p.m. Crews dealing with blizzard-like conditions!

Snoqualmie Pass Eastbound is closed at North Bend MP 34 due to unchained semis, collisions and spin-outs.

An estimated time to open is not known at this time. Compact snow and ice on the roadway.

Traction Advisory: Chains required all vehicles except all-wheel drive, oversize vehicles prohibited.

Travelers will experience added travel time and delays due to weather conditions. It is 22 and snowing at Alpental

A jack-knifed semi snarled traffic earlier this morning at exit 32. It has since been cleared.
