Updated: Snoqualmie Fire Department on the Scene of a Slow-Moving Brush Fire, No Structures Threatened

UPDATE 11:17 am: Fire is under control and contained. Crews will be working throughout the day to extinguish hidden and spot fires. Please avoid the area.

Original Story

On Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at 7:30 am, Snoqualmie firefighters responded to a brush fire located in a wooded area between Snoqualmie Parkway and Frontier Ave SE near the Snoqualmie Valley Hospital.

The slow-moving fire is approximately 50’ x 100′ in size and is located near a walking trail and pond.  No homes or businesses are threatened, and no evacuations are required 

In addition to Snoqualmie Fire Department crews, Fall City Fire and Eastside Fire and Rescue are also helping extinguish the fire. 

Currently, crews are establishing a fire line for full containment. Once completed, water will be brought in. 

The fire response is anticipated to last all day, with monitoring to occur overnight as it involved a large tree stump. 

The cause of the brush fire is unknown at this time.
